چکیده
Gold nanoparticle (AuNPs)-mediated photothermal therapy (PTT) has attracted increasing attention both in laboratory research and clinical applications. Due to its easily-tuned properties of irradiation light inside-out hyperthermia ability, it demonstrated clear advantages cancer over conventional thermal ablation. Despite this great advancement, the therapeutic efficacy AuNPs mediated PTT tumor treatment remains compromised by several obstacles, including low conversion efficiency, tissue penetration limitation excitation light, inherent non-specificity. In view rapid development PTT, we present an in-depth review major breakthroughs advanced gold nanomaterials for with emphasis on those from 2010 date. particular, current state knowledge based agents within a paradigm key structure-optical property relationships is presented order provide guidance design novel AuNP meet necessary functional requirements specific Furthermore, potential challenges future are also elucidated translation. It expected that will soon constitute markedly promising avenue cancer.

Advances in biodegradable nanomaterials for photothermal therapy of cancer
Photothermal cancer therapy is an alternative to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. With the development of nanophotothermal agents, this therapy holds immense potential in clinical translation. However, the toxicity issues derived from the fact that nanomaterials are trapped and retained in the reticuloendothelial systems limit their biomedical application. Developing biodegradable photo...
متن کاملRecent Advances in Hemophilia Gene Therapy
Heterogeneous loss of function mutations at F8 and F9 genes causes X-linked recessive bleeding disorders, hemophilia A (HA) and hemophilia B (HB), respectively. HA is clinically indistinguishable from HB and accounts for more than 80% of hemophilia cases; the former affects 1/5000 and the latter 1/25000 male births worldwide. In Iran, it is estimated that around 4300 HA and 900 HB patients are ...

Using positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to monitor and quantitatively analyze the delivery and localization of Au nanomaterials (NMs), a widely used photothermal agent, is essential to optimize therapeutic protocols to achieve individualized medicine and avoid side effects. Coupling radiometals to Au NMs via a chelator faces the challenges of possible detachment of the radiometals as w...

متن کاملBarriers and recent advances in non-viral vectors targeting the lungs for cystic fibrosis gene therapy
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in CFTR genes that affect chloride ion channel. The CF is a good nominee for gene therapy as the asymptomatic carriers are phenotypically normal, and the desired cells are accessible for vector delivery. Gene therapy shows promising effects involving the correction of gene or replacement of the mutant gene with the func...
